Does everything needed to install the filter and pump come with this? For example, pipe fittins, pump-to-filter fittings & plumbing, etc.

None of the plumbing comes with this system. The system would include the pump, filter and multiport valve on Sand and DE filters (cartridge filters do not require a multiport valve). Any additional plumbing or fittings would be purchased locally at a hardware store.

How many hours per day should I run my pump?

There are many factors to consider; bather load, gallons of water, pump horsepower, type and size of filter just to name a few. A good guideline is 8-10 hours a day. On the cooler days and early and late season, you can cut the run time down to 4-6 hours because there is usually less swimmers and cooler water requires less chemicals. In peak season, when it is the hottest, raising the run time to 10-12 hours per day will help to keep the pool clean and circulating during it’s time of heaviest use.

I have been given a 1hp single speed super pump, and 24” 300# sand filter.
Our pool is 24’ round Above ground. Pool supply store tech people said it would work with 2 return lines.
Any recommendations?

Hi, Charley. This pump and filter system has 1-1/2" ports. If you have 2" pipes, you will have have to use a pvc reducer.

Hi. You will need to calculate the Feet of Head or the TDH of your pool to confirm if this pump and filter will be sufficient for your pool.

If I have 34,000 gallons of water and my GPH is 4250 and my GPM is 71 would the hayward Pro series S244T be big enough using a SP2610X15 Hayward super pump

What size sand system do we need for a approximately 18000 gallon pool. 36x16x10 deep end. Deep end approximately 8’ long then slopes 4’ 45* to 4’ long to 3’ deep. Kidney shape pool. I guessed it 18000.

Does this system, Hayward Super Pump 1 HP Single Speed W/ S244T 24" Sand Filter & Valve - SP2607X10S244T have a two speed or single speed pump it says in description two speed but product specifications it says it’s a single speed, which is it.
