I would like to know what type of weekly maintenance (chemicals) is necessary with the Nature2 system?
Reply
With the Nature2 you would maintain your pool the same way as if you did not have Nature2. The only thing that will change is that you will maintain a lower chlorine residual with the Nature2. Instead of maintaining a chlorine residual of 3.0, you would maintain a chlorine residual of 1.5 with Nature2. This results in using approximately 50% less chlorine.

Are there any harmful chemicals inside of the Nature 2 cartridge? What do I do with the old one?
Reply
There are no harmful chemicals inside of the Nature 2 cartridge. The cartridge can be thrown away with everyday household trash.

Do I still need to shock the swimming pool with a chlorine shock every week?
Reply
No, you will need a chlorine shock at first to activate the Nature 2 cell. After that, you can use a non-chlorine shock for weekly shocking.

Will the Nature 2 cartridge last 6 months no matter what?
Reply
No, higher temps, 24 hour filtration and heavy bather loads will decrease the life span of the cartridge to approximately 3-5 months.

I am trying to replace a Nature2 cartridge which has the part number 28166. Will this cartridge, part number 28165, work for me?
Reply
The W28166 is specifically designed to work on the Nature Limited CRA30 the W28166 has 3 female ports on it so it can fit the Limited vessel. The W28165 does not have these female ports on the cartridge so it will not fit the Limited vessel. Since you have the Limited vessel you will require the purchase of the W28166 and the W28165 will not work in your system.

What would make my nature 2 cart spit beads into my pool?
Reply
Hi Nancy, there is a little cage inside the Nature 2 cartridge that keeps the beads from spilling into the pool. It sounds like you may need to replace yours.
