I ordered the Nautilus Stainless Filter Tank O-Ring. It was the OEM version (152127) which had a premium price compared to the regular generic O-Ring. I received the generic version which is round and does not have the flat sides that sit on the ledge of the tank. So how do I get the correct one I paid a premium price for and return this one?

Hi, Skip. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Yes, you did order an OEM product, if you received something different, please provide a picture of the item that you received including the packaging with the item number and description. This o-ring you ordered is completely round with no flat sides. These o-ring can become flatten over time since they are compressed between the Lid and bottom assembly. Again, get us a picture of what you received so that we can resolve this for you.

The "O" ring that came originally was flat on the inside. It fit perfectly. I have not been able to find one. the ones they sell now are just a bit too big and getting them on is tricky plus they push out by the coupling ends when you tighten them down.

Hi, Don. This Tank O-ring can be used with a stainless steel Heldor Clearflo D.E. filter. If that is the model you have, this tank o-ring will fit.

Will the Nautilus Stainless filter tank O-Ring OEM-152127 fit a Purex 24 inch DE lid? The O-Ring that goes between lid and tank? The Purex part is FMBW 2048

Hi Karol, For your SMBW2048 this is not the correct o-ring. You will need this SMBW2048 Tank O-Ring

I have an older Nautilus stainless NS72 from the 80s. I ordered this from my local pool store and it is rounded, not flat like the current one, and it is too big. Is it possible there is a different o-ring for the older NS72?
Hi Alex, Were there any part #'s on the packaging or paperwork for the o-ring you bought from your local pool store? If so please click the reply link below so we can double-check that they supplied you with the proper item #.

Here you go.
Hi Alex, We do show that the o-ring in the photo is the correct o-ring for your NS72. Many times over the years the o-ring does get flattened and looses its round shape. Also using this Pool Filter O-Ring Lubricant can help with the seal.

I figured that about the flatness but there is no way this o-ring fits this model, no matter how hard ya try. It’s too large by at least an inch. I even bought another one from another pool shop and same issue. I noticed on some of descriptions on other sites for this part it specifies for models manufactured in 2001 or newer. Is there an older part schematic you could track down? Seems like a 17” instead of 18 by looking at it.

I have the old NS-48 stainless steel tank my pump powers up to full pressure and then starts to lose pressure within 1-15 minutes could the oil ring be the issue? I recently had the entire system re-piped to make sure it wasn't leaking there? Any suggestions??

Hello Johnny, there are a number of possible reasons that can cause pressure issues within a filter/swimming pool. Here is a guide that we put together called "How to Correct Low Water Pressure in Your Pool System" that should offer some further assistance.
