Can you change just the light bulb or do you have to replace the entire light every time?
Reply
You can change just the bulb assembly. Here is the link to the bulb assembly for the 98600000 BULB ASSEMBLY

Do I need to lower the water level below the inlet to install the fixture?
Reply
Yes it is recommended that you lower the level of your water down past the light in order to take the full light fixture out.

I'm getting the Intex 18'x9'x 52" above ground rectangular pool. Would the aquailuminator fit the return line for that pool?
Reply
Unfortunately we would not suggest the Aqualuminator for an Intex pool. If your Intex pool is a soft sided pool then we would suggest this light here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/00100001003799.htm and if it is the Intex Metal Frame pool then we would suggest this light here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07700015060833.htm

Roar- The Aqualuminator 98600000 would require the Aqualuminator Transformer and Cord Cap Assembly (83000000).

Does this light have a freeze plug available?
Reply
Hi Jerold, The Aqualuminator Owner's Manual states that the light requires (2) #9 winterizing plugs for winterization which are sold separately. We do carry the #9 Winterizing Plugs here.

Hi Sal, Page 5&6 of the Aqualuminator Owner's Manual go over the exact step by step instructions for replacing your bulb. These instructions should be helpful in doing this replacement, if you still have the same issue then please let us know.

I have a 24' up ground pool, it is about 15 yrs old. Will this light assembly work and also is there a you tube video so that I get a better visual on the setup?
Thank you,
Reply
Hi Ginger, this light would just install into a standard return jet fitting so you should be fine with installing this on an older pool as these jets have not changed. Unfortunately we do not have an installation video for the Aqualuminator, however we do have the AquaLuminator Installation Manual which shows the installation process.

can I buy •Pre-wired transformer with on/off switch only
Reply
Hi Brett, You will need the Aqualuminator Transformer and Cord Cap Assembly (83000000), the transformer w/ switch is not sold separately.
Reply
Hi. Can you tell me what the out put voltage of the transformer is and is it D/C or A/C out put voltage?
Reply
Hi Jeff, According to the warehouse it does not indicate if it's AC or DC, but the output voltage is 12.

Will this light work with a polygroup summer waves above ground pool? And does it have to be plugged into a GFCI?
Reply
We would not suggest this light on the Summer Waves Pool as the metal is too thin to support the weight of the light. The AquaLuminator does need to be plugged into a GFCI.

My directional water flow feature is stuck and I don't want to force it, possibly damage it. Is there a simple way to loosen it so the directional portion is easier to turn? Thanks...

Hi, Skip B. I would recommend reviewing the installation and removal instructions outlined in the Pentair Aqualuminator Owner's Manual.

I need to know how to remove pool light to replace it with a regular return.

Hi. The Pentair Aqualuminator Owner's Manual has the installation instruction which can also be used for uninstalling the product.

Does this include the pressure cleaning adapter?
Reply
Hi, Charles. A pressure cleaning adapter is not included with this light. The Pentair Aqualuminator Owner's Manual does not reference a pressure cleaning adapter

Is it possible to buy just a replacement cord for the luminaire 98600000? I presently have it installed in my pool but the on/off switch went bad on the power cord. Thank you

We had to replace our pool due to damage over the winter. We already have this unit from 2015 and we love how it illuminates the whole pool. Will it fit the return of our new 2019 Pinnacle 24’ round pool ? Or will we need an adapter and is there an adaptor kit available
Reply
It will fit a standard return hole.
Reply
Yes this should fit.
Reply
Unfortunately we have no way to know the hole size on a specific model of above ground pool. Measure the hole size on the new pool return and then measure the gasket inside opening. Good chance they are the same.

Hi, Charlie. A hole size of 2-1/2" is needed to install this Aqualuminator light.

I have an ancient SeasonMaster pool (obsolete). The hole for the return has a 2 3/8 inch diameter. The pool sides are steel with very very slight vertical corrugation. Could this light work for this pool?
Reply
The thru the wall fitting for this light only requires a 2" hole size so it is not a good fit. See the PAL-2L2 light, mfg # 39-2L254W, ( 56-330-1460 )

I'm very happy with your pool light. However, the O ring has broken and needs to be replaced. Can you replace just this part? Or can you give me the dimensions to try and find one.
Thank you very much

Hello Dominick, there are a few o rings or gaskets for this Pentair Aqualuminator pool light. Please see this parts diagram where the seal options are listed.
