Does the fixture come with the bulb attached. Do we need to order bulb separately. Do you have led bulb for the same fixture.

The fixture does come with a bulb. A standard 500 watt florescent bulb. You can order a fixture that has a LED in it if you with. It would be part number 601002. Or if you wish you can just order a bulb. That part number is LPLP1RGB120.

My problem is that the fixture continues to fill will about 1-2 in. of water. is the problem the niche or gasket or both and how can I determine which. Also, if I have to replace the fixture, how do I do this. Thanks, Paul R. Powers

Hello Paul - We would recommend replacing the gasket first. If that doesn't work, you will need to replace the fixture.

Hal,The correct niche for the 78456300 Amerlite is 79206700. Also, nothing else is required but a new bulb to switch over to LED.

I need to replace my pentair 784 series 120V pool light. I don’t know what the prior wattage was. The 500 watt seems to be cheaper that the 300 watt, is there any particular indications for one versus the other, other than the max bulb wattage allowed?

Hi, Max. The wattage of the fixture is usually based on the pool size or how bright you want the pool.

Is the wattage of the bulb the only difference between the 300 and 500 watt lights (part numbers 78928500 and 78456300)? Is the assembly any different or is there a different gauge cord used?

Hi TW, yes the only difference would be the light bulb, the gauge of the cord and the light housing will be the same on both models.

Would this Pool Amerilite 500 Watt be a replacement for Spectrum Amerlite [SAm] that is currently in my pool? See pictures. Also, my spa has a small Sam light but it works....do I need to change both or can I leave the spa light.

A  Answered on 10/26/2020 by InyoPools Product Specialist Joe S.

Hello Rick, you can leave the spa SAM light installed and not need to change it. If you can confirm the Large Plastic Niche, 1" Top Hub, Concrete - 79206700 then the Pentair Pool Products Pool Amerilite 500 Watt 100ft. Cord 120 Volt would be the replacement.

Thanks so much Hector, is there a way to replace the fixture and leave the electrical cord in place, I fear if the cord breaks midway through it would make it difficult to fix

Hi David, unfortunately, no, the whole fixture w/cord must be replaced. They are not manufactured to replace the cords. The Pentair fixtures must be professionally installed to honor the manufacturer defect warranty. If you self-install you will only receive a 60-day warranty from the date of purchase. We offer How To Replace a Pool Light Fixture http://www.inyopools.com/HowToPage/how-to-replace-a-pool-light-fixture.aspx if you choose to complete a self-install.
