For a color-changing LED light, how do I switch between the different settings with just a standard light switch?
Reply
The LED lights are designed to move to the next programmed setting each time you turn the switch on and off. This will toggle through the different color settings and shows.

I would like to replace my existing pool light which is a Purex Model 6425 halogen with the Pentair 5G LED light. The dimensions of the pool niche is 9.5" diameter with a depth of 9". Will the 5G light fit?

Yes any of the older Purex Lights may be replaced by the Pentair Intellibrite LED Lights or by the Pentair Amerilight White Incandescent lights.

My pool has a dark blue surface. Can I use the Intellibrite color LED?
Reply
We would not recommend any color-changing LED lights in a dark colored pool as the colors will not show up. The 601101 Intellibrite 5g Pool LED White Light would be a better choice.

What size pool is recommended for the maximum effect of this light fixture?
Reply
Hello Clayton - In a pool with a light colored surface, one Pentair model 601001 is enough for a pool size up to 16'x32'. Anything larger will require multiple lights.

I now have 2 SAM lights in my pool controlled by my Jandy Aqualink. I would like to get 2 Pentair Intellibrite 5g lights. Will they work with my Jandy? Also will they operate together and stay in sync?
Reply
Hello Cindy - The Jandy can turn the Intellibrite lights on an off. The Intellibrite lights will stay synced up as long as they are wired to the same relay.

Can I replace a Jandy CPHV150WS50 with the Intellibrite fixture?

No, the Intellibrite 5g 120v 50' LED Pool Light 601001 will not work in a Jandy niche.

We have a Pentair series 600015, 600016, 600017 and 600022, is there a cross reference number for a replacement light?
Reply
You would have the older Pentair SAM Light which has been replaced by the new Pentair LED Intellibrite Lights. The Intellibrite lights are replacements for the SAM light and fit into the same niche as your SAM lights. When clicking through to the Pentair LED Intellibrite Lights you will just need to select if you have a pool or spa light, your voltage (12V or 120V) and your cord length.

I have 2 Pentair 863330 lights in my in-ground pool. One lights but doesn't change color. The other leaked and doesn't work at all. Is there a replacement light for these? Are there replacement parts for the electronics for these lights?
Reply
The first generation Intellibrites manufactured between 2007-2009 have a replacement engine kit being part number 60076 and the second generation Intellibrites manufactured after 2009 have a replacement kit being part number 619818Z. Both are special orders and have an approximate lead time of 2-3 weeks.

Hi Kathie, The Pentair Intellibrite Color LED Pool Light will replace the Pentair SAm Light. You would need to confirm the voltage needed.

I have the Intellibrite 5g 120V color LED pool light for 2yrs; now it doesn't change to different colors any more, even I try to switch off and on for a number of times as instructed; it shows only one deep blue color. What 's wrong with it? Are other colors dead. Do I need to replace any part or have to replace the whole fixture? Thank you!

Hi Tom, It sounds as if the board has gone out in the unit. You would be looking at replacing the complete unit

I have a 500w halogen bulb that I would like to replace with a color changing LED. The 500w bulb provides ample, but not bright light to my pool, which is a lazy L approx. 50 ft. Do you think color will provide enough light, or should I stick with white?
Reply
Hi Joe, The Intellibrite is bright but not as bright as a 500 watt bulb, you can go with the Intellibrite 500 Watt LED White Light (601301).

My Pentair series 600015,16,17 and 600022 expired. I'm moving shortly and want a simple 300 watt incandescent replacement. Will the Pentair 78428100 fit the existing 9.50" wide X 7.50" deep niche that is there now?

Hi, The Pentair Amerlite (78428100) will fit into the same niche as the Spectrum Amerlite.

Hi Ryan, The Pentair 600017 light is 120 volt so this Intellibrite (601001) will work as a replacement.

I have a Pentair series 600015/600016/600017/600022 color changing pool light. The seal went bad and water leaked into the unit. Is it possible that the unit still works? The pool is drained and light fixture removed, everything looks good except the two MR1675 watt light bulbs

Good morning Mike, The fixture can still be good. If the inside socket isn't rusted out the fixture could still be good. You will just need to replace the lens gasket and bulb.

I'm replacing a Pentair series 600015, 600016, 600017 and 600022. It is hooked up to my Jandy Aqualink system. I'm able to cycle through colors by turning on and off. Can I control the Intellibrite 5G colors the same way? or do I need to buy the controller also?
Thanks

Hi, George Martinez. You can use your AquaLink to control the Pentair Intellibrite light by turning the circuit on/off.

I have a 3 light, first generation intellibrite 120v, 70W system. One of the lights has failed. I can not find a first generation replacement. Can it be replaced with the second generation, 120V, 50W light and still work in conjunction with the existing two lights? If so, is this an easy process? Take out the old light, put in the new one and connect the wiring the same way as the first one was? It would be nice to have all three lights working again. Thanks

Hi, Dave. The current Intellibrite light fixtures are compatible with the first generation Intellibrite fixtures.

I'm replacing a Pentair series 600015, 600016, 600017 and 600022. Will this light provide better lighting? The current light does not provide enough light to my L shaped pool? What light would you recommend if I'm looking for color and more brightness when in white mode?

Hi, JJ. This light can be used, however, I cannot confirm if the diffusion of light will be a whole lot better. It just depends on where the light is positioned in the pool.

Hi,
Two questions:
1. Can i use this to replace a 13yr old Jandy incandescent light&fixture? Will my niche accommodate this, or do i have to go with a Jandy?
2. Can this be controlled by a Jandy AqualinkRS PDA controller? Not just to turn it on and off, but also to select colors/shows?
Thanks,
Ivano.
