What stainless steel niche is required for the Pentair 640132 light?

Hi, I am building a brand new pool-should I use the 120v or the 12v? Pool is concrete 38x18-thanks

Hi Chris, being a brand new swimming pool I would suggest using a 12 volt light as that will be safer being low voltage.

i need to know how to replaced this intellibrite light, is there a tool to removed it?

Hi Bernardo. To remove your Pentair IntelliBrite Color LED Light you would begin by removing the pilot screw to release it from the niche (see page 6 of the manual). Note that the LED light assembly has no user-serviceable parts in it; you would then need to remove the entire IntelliBrite assembly and replace it. See our helpful article on How To Replace a Pool Light Fixture for helpful hints on how to do that.

Can this light replace a older light. I just had my pool resurfaced and would like to change the lights.

Hello Todd. The Pentair Pool Products IntelliBrite 5G 12V LED Light requires a 12V supply voltage. if the previous light fixture had a 120V supply voltage, a 120V/12V transformer must be installed. Intermatic 300 Watt Transformer - PX300 The Intellibrite Fixture is compatible with Pentair Niches and a variety of other manufacturer's niches. The Intellibrite LED light fixture must only be used with Pentair Water Pool fixture housings (niches) to maintain its U.L. approval and warranties. Understanding fixture/niche compatibility would be something you would want to determine. Attached please find a copy of the IntelliBrite Installation and User's Guide for reference.
