I was wondering how to clean the pump?
Reply
Hi, Cleaning out the pump is really easy. First you will need to remove the pump lid by grasping the handle and turning it counter-clockwise. Second you will need to remove the basket inside the pump body. It should just pull straight up. Empty the debris and replace the basket. Third, place the pump lid back on the pump body and twist the lid clockwise to lock it in place. Fourth, Enjoy the pool!!

I currently have a 1 hr pump. I have really low return, would it hurt to put a 1 1\2 hr pump in. The only way the auto pool cleaner will move is when I by pass filter & just let the water circulate.

If you go with a 1.5HP motor then you will have to upgrade your impeller as well to fit the horsepower of your motor.

Is there a reset button on this pump? My pump has quit working and we had a storm last night and I thought maybe we had a power surge that shut it down. I have checked the breakers and plugs and they are all just fine.
Thanks,
Tim

Hi, Tim. There is not a reset button on the pump. It sounds like the pump motor has died and would need to be replaced.

Where do I connect the bonding lug on the Pentair Sta-Rite 340197SR? Thank you for your help.

Hello, The bonding lug is located on the body of the motor. If you have a bonding wire, you would connect it there.

I am looking to replace my Sta-Rite 340316SR with this 340197SR ...they seem to be somewhat similar from what I can tell. Do they move about the same amount of water? Thank you!

Hi, Joaquin. Yes, they will move the same amount of water.

what can I use as a replacement?

We recommend the Waterway model PH1100-6. If you are using a hose with unions that connect the pump to the filter, you'll likely have to change to the style of hose that clamps on to fittings like part number PL0020.
