What are the dimensions on the backside of this fitting and how does the pipe attach?

This fitting accepts 2" plumbing and 2" plumbing will slip into the outside of the back side of the fitting. The back side of the fitting is slip and not threaded,

What size is the threads if I want to buy a directional inlet?

Hello, I apologize, but we don't have size on the threads, but with a 2" insider wall fitting the threads should fit 1.5 and 2" style jets.

Permit me to ask again because normally a "fitting" (such as an elbow or coupling) with a SLIP-type (female) end will "receive" or accept" the PVC pipe on the INSIDE. The PVC pipe is treated the same as a "male" SPIGOT in this situation.
Is this Pentair 542423 wall fitting "INSERTED INTO" a 2.0 Inch Schedule 40 PVC Pipe ?
Or, does this fitting backside body "SLIP OVER" the 2.0' PVC Pipe ?
Thanks

Hi, Steven. This 2" Insider Wall Fitting Adapter will fit inside a 2″ pipe.

Does pentair make the same return but will fit a 1.5" pipe? If so do you carry or have the part number?

Hi Tom, the closest that we carry will be Pentair part number 55-110-3517 that should work for your application.
