Will a gas heater operate at the low speed of a dual speed motor?
 Reply

A  Answered on 1/16/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Probably not - Most gas heater will shut off at low GPM levels (20-40) to keep the heater cores from overheating - 20 for 200 BTUs, 40 for 400 BTUs. Depending on your pool system you might get these GPM levels at the low speed but generally these heaters must be run at the motor's high speed.

I'm assuming this heater will be well-packed and shipped on a pallet (I've read some horror stories). Thanks.

Yes the heaters are strapped to a pallet with packing protection inside the box. It is shipped to prevent as little movement as possible while in transit. Once an order is placed, you will receive instructional information on how to and what to look for before signing for the delivery.

Hello Inyopools, I own Sta Rite SR400NA and I'm starting it up for the season. The unit starts up and immediately shuts off, help! When i turn it on the fan kicks in, the gas line is open, the ignitor starts, hot air gets pushed out of the exhaust, then immediately stops. The water flow is at 20 on my filter. Cleaned out the inside, checked all the contacts, cleaning the metal contacts and reset the fuse box. No Motherboard codes appeared. Two MB indicator stayed on LED9 & 11,Suggestions?

The owner's manual only shows one set of physical dimensions but covers all the different models... are they all the same size as far as exterior dimensions? Thanks!

Hi, Jeff. Yes, the physical dimensions are the same, just the tube assembly or the heat exchanger is different.

I know that but is there anything special that you have to do to change the temperature besides just pushing the up or down button!

Hi Thomas, there are more details for operating the heater temperatures on page 35 in the owner's manual, you may view it here http://images.inyopools.com/cloud/documents/maxethermom.pdf Page 33 -34 will assist with operating instructions. It is a little lengthy, unfortunately, I could post it all here. I hope this helps.
