Where can I find the replacement bulb for this light as well as dimmensions on the replacement bulb? Also can I replace the bulb in my Swimquip light with a color changing LED bulb?

Here is a link to the replacement bulb for the swimquip light (120V 500 Watt - NA706) http://www.inyopools.com/Products/00100001005427.htm This page shows dimmensions of the bulb and you may purchase this bulb directly through the link above. Unfortunately at this time there is not a LED replacement bulb available for the swimquip light, all of the current LED replacement bulbs are too large for the Swimquip housing.

I have the Sta-Rite 05086 light. The housing for this light seems to be in good shape. The cord shows wear and i just need to replace the cord and gasket...do they sell just the cord without having to pay the price for the whole housing?
If not, is there a better light that can be installed into the same niche that is already in place?
Reply
James, The cords for pool lights isn't sold separately. Unfortunately, SwimQuip lights are unique so that's the only light that you can use with your niche.

Recently had my pool re-plastered, discovered a leak coming out of the electrical conduit connected to the light. The light still works so how is the water getting out of the pool?
Reply
Hi Gary, The Light will still work as long as water does not get into the fixture. Water could be leaking if the conduit or channel for the cord has a crack.

Hi The light housing says freshwater only. Will this work in a salt water pool?
Reply
Hi David, Yes this light will work in a saltwater pool. Normally salt pools are maintained around 3,000 PPM of salt, this warning is for ocean water which more like 40,000 PPM of salt.

2 questions: If I replace the entire fixture, does it come with the bulb and is it an led bulb with 500w equivalent? Also, if I don't need the power cord do I still need to order the whole kit? Can I use my existing wiring so that I don't have to re-run the cable? Thank-you.
Reply
Hi, Lorne. This fixture does include a 500 watt incandescent bulb. You can purchase an LED bulb for this fixture which is only equivalent to like 250 watts. The power cord for the fixture is required for the proper installation and functionality of the fixture. You cannot splice the cable.

Hi Leslie, The only light we have confirmed that will work as a replacement for the Old Swimquip SunBrite light is this Pentair IntelliBrite Pool Light. Yes you will need to pull out the complete light and cord and pull the new cord. We do have a Video on How to Install a Pool Light which you may find handy when you tackle this project. Also note that the Intellibrite is an LED Color Changing Light.
