My pool is 32,600 gallons. I have been told to run the pump 24 hours a day on speed 2. Is this correct to get the proper water turnover rate?
Reply
Hi John, yes this pump would be able to meet your turnover needs.

What are the differences between the Intella Pro 2vst and the IntelliFlo 2vst. Do they both have the same motor and is one more efficient than the other.

Hi, David. The IntelliPro 2 VST and the Intelliflo 2 VST do have the same motor, however, has different wet ends. The Intelliflo 2 VST is also a higher performance pump making it more efficient than the IntelliPro 2 VST Pump.

I have a Dura-Glas II pump, is the Intellipro similar enough to be in-place replacement for the piping?
Reply
The IntelliPro is a great drop in replacement for the Dura-Glas. It will also save you money on your energy bill if you take advantage of its variable speeds.

Would like to know flow rates(gallon per minute) for 5hp and 3hp Sta-rite pumps. Our pool is 45,000 gallon pool and required minimum 4 X circulations a day.
Reply
Typical pool installations come in a 40'-50' head of plumbing. If you pool falls into this range then a 3 HP pump will be outputting 160 GPM and a 5 HP will be outputting 200 GPM.

what is the difference between sta-rite P6E6y4H-209l, and P6E6T4h-209l and P6E6VS4h-209l pumps. I have the P6E6T4h-209l and need to replace it.

Hi, Bill. I was not able to locate a P6E6T4H-209L model. However, the P6E6Y4H-209L has limited features as far as the programmable speeds which is up to 4 and the P6E6VS4H-209L has more features including the ability to have up to 8 preset speeds. I would recommend the P6E6VS4H-209L model as a replacement.

if power to pump goes down when power is restored what will be the time on clock

Hi. If power goes off for more than 96 hours, you will have to reset the time, if less it will keep the true time.

what can happen if 90 elbow is placed directly into pump

Hi. The pump would not be able to prime properly affecting the pump's performance. You need at least 10" of straight pipe going into the pump inlet.

I have an AO Smith SQ1202 Mod # K48N2PA102A2 2HP existing motor and want to replace it with a StaRite P/N 013001 Intellipro 2 VST 3HP motor. Would that be a compatible replacement?
Reply
Hi, JML. In order to confirm I will need the model of your pump housing. However, this Sta-Rite Intellipro VS Pump can be used as a replacement since you have the option of reducing the RPM for versatility.

How difficult is it to install a new drive (Intellipro drive kit, part # 353252) on a Sta-rite Intellipro Variable Speed pump model P6E6VS4H-209L Do installation instructions come with the part? Is there a warranty?

Hi, Fred. It is not difficult too difficult, instructions are available on page 34 of the Intellipro Owner's Manual. The warranty is 90 days.

Do they make a pool pump cover for the sta-rite intellipro VS P6E6VS4H209L? Thank you

Hi, Phil. They're some aftermarket cover that can be used as an extra layer of protection. We do not carry those covers.

I have an in-ground pool 10/12000 gal. No spa. Heat-pump. No automation. Current pump: Sta-Rite Max-E Pro P6RA6E-205L installed Sept '14 (5 yrs. old) Motor: Century B2853 1HP/1.25SF installed Mar '18 (18 mos. old) with new seals.Runs 9 hrs per day. Pump screeching. Small leak under pump. Replacing both seems wise. Considering variable speed with automation. Looking for better quality. Minimal re-plumbing a plus. Recommendations? Do I need more HP for variable?

This pump would work fine in place of what you have. We would recommend it as the replacement.

Thank you. How does the Sta-Rite Intelli-Pro VS P6E6VS4H-209L compare to the Pentair 011018?
Reply
Essentially these two pumps are basically the same. Pentair actually owns Sta-Rite. The flow rates are the same, max HP, amperage, drives, and amount of settings. The main difference is that the Intellipro comes with the unions and the port locations are a bit different.
