I need to know if this pump has an external capacitor located on top of the pump. The unit I want to replace has clearance issues and an external capacitor located on the top of the pump will not fit. Your information on your website does not specify. Please advise.

Patrick, The photo that was provided from the MFGR and from the warehouse is the same photo that we have on the website that does not show an external capacitor.

Is this pump ok to use with a Cartridge filter system
Reply
Yes this pump is okay to use with a cartridge filter system. Normally this pump is used on portable spas or hot tubs. If you are using on an above ground pool then we would suggest the version of this pump which has basket, here you can view this Waterway Pump With Basket.

Good day. I was able to find a MANUAL on the WATERWAY WEBSITE. For warranty issues, I could not a spot on the site. I did find a Tech Support line - 888-72-5387. I am sure they would be able to get you what you need.

The picture shows what I would say is a vertical discharge, the pump I need to replace has the outlet on the side. Is this pump available with a horizontal discharge?
Reply
Hi Harry, The discharge on this pump does not come set horizontally, but you can rotate the discharge manually.

to remove the impeller on model# SD-20-2N11CD serial# SD1110200369.Do I have to turn the impeller clockwise to remove it? Thanks
Reply
To remove an impeller, you will need to lock the shaft of the motor. I recommend removing the back cover and slipping a wrench in the exposed end of the shaft. Once locked, ensure there is not a retaining bolt on the front of the impeller. The impeller rotates counter clockwise to remove.

Hi Patricia, You can review our How To: Wire A Pool Pump for instructions. There is also a wiring diagram on the motor. The "Black" wire is your 115 line, the "White" is your neutral and the "Green" is your ground.

Hello Mary, you might want to contact Waterway 805-981-0262 to see if they can provide you with a part number we can better assist you with, we don't have any replacement parts for that particular pump, but if they provide you with a part we do carry we can assist you with that.

I have a model SD-20-N11CD motor on my filter. The motor will start in low speed but not in high speed. You can switch to high speed only after starting in low. Its been this way since I installed it in June of this year. Can you tell me what to check first. Thanks.
Reply
Hi, Davison. I would recommend that you check the wiring of the motor. If the motor is wired correctly then the motor is defective.

My Waterway SD-15-2N22CC has issues and I need to replace it. A Google search tells me that it is no longer available. Which pump would be the closest to my original? I like the 3 position switch on my 2 speed pump and don't really want to have to unplug the new one to turn it off. I might settle for a single speed pump as long as it had an on/off switch.

Hi, Kurt. This Waterway Hi-Flo Pump - 3420610-10 can be used as a replacement for model #SD-15-2N22CC. A Toggle Switch-2 Spd Cover - 18313301 will fit this motor.

I don't need the motor though, just the pump assembly itself

I have a WMC Model JS4000D 1.5 hp dual speed pump for my hot tub. Had seals replaced twice. Looking for replacement. has center intake and right side top output. Your waterway 342061010 looks like it would be a good replacement. What do you think?

Hi Kevin, Do you know if your current pump is 115v or 230v? Also what size pipe is going into the pump? Could you send us a few photos of the pump and the name plate with the motor specs.? Simply click the reply link below to supply this information and photos.

The pump is 115v. Intake and output are both 2.25 OD

Hi Kevin, based on that information yes this would be a good replacement for your current pump.

Received waterway pump you sent to replace my WMC 2 speed 1.5 hp pump. I had identified that the input and output plumbing connections were 2 1/4” OD. The pump you sent has 3” plumbing connections. Does this 2 speed pump come with the dimensions I need?

This was a 15 year old motor, there is no way to get the pieces you are looking for. Your best answer is to replace the pump looks like 115 volt maybe this from the label and if so use this pump here Waterway 342061010 (34-270-3624)

I was told that this pump would work to replace my older above ground pool pump by Waterworks plastics. Is this correct, and does it have a high/low/off toggle switch?
Reply
Hello Steven. The PowerFlo Matrix Pump 1.5 HP Dual Speed - SP15932S - W3SP15932S or Waterway Above Ground Variable Speed Pool Pump 1.4 HP 115V/230V PD-140ABG would be more appropriate options. The Waterway Spa Pump 342061010 does not have a pump housing with a strainer basket. In an open above-ground environment the absence of a pump strainer basket can be problematic. Any debris that passes the skimmer basket may lodge in the impeller necessitating a disassemble/cleaning/re-assemble procedure.
