Should this water pump run hot , almost too hot to touch?
Different question can this pump run as a saltwater pump? And if so are there any changes that need to be made?

Hi. Yes, pump motor can run hot to the point where you're unable to touch it. Motors have an AMB rating which is the maximum ambient (surrounding) temperature in which a motor is designed to operate. This pump can also operate a saltwater pool, needing no changes.

I currently have a Hayward Super Pump SP2607X10. Would the Waterway SMF-110 be a good option?

Hello Anthony - Yes, the 1HP Waterway SMF-110 would be a great option to replace the Hayward Super Pump model SP2607X10. The durability of the Waterway SMF pump is as good, if not better than the Hayward Super Pump. Plus, the cost is so much more affordable. Win-Win!

Have a century 1.0 hp: 230/115 volts: coupled to a carvin pool pump model 94027110. What would you suggest I replace this with.

Hi, We would suggest this Waterway SMF-110 as the proper replacement for your Carvin pool pump model 94027110. The plumbing ports are not in the exact same location as your current pump so you will have a little re-plumbing but nothing major. The water output of this pump will match your current pump. This Waterway SMF pump is a great pump that we think you will be really happy with.

Hi Lisa, Yes this would be a good replacement for the Jandy Stealth pump. The plumbing ports are not in the exact same position so you will have a little re-plumbing.

I have a Pentair WFE-4 1 hp pump. Would be a good replacement?
Thanks,

Hi Don, We would actually suggest the Waterway Champion 1.5 HP Max Rate Pump the reason being is that it is a drop-in replacement for the Whisperflo meaning no re-plumbing. Also you have a 1 HP Full Rate Pump which is equivalent in power to a 1.5 HP Max Rate Pump.

I have a SMF -110 Pool Pump, How do I change motor connection from 230V to 115V

Hello,On the SMF-110 there will be a voltage selector on the back of the motor near the wiring that will show 230 or 115.

I need to replace my existing SMF 110 pump, but this one looks a little different. Mine is grey and has a one piece clear lid on the strainer. Are all the specs the same on this pump as the older version?

Good day, yes the older model of the SMF-110 would be gray. So the new Waterway SMF 1.0 HP Max Rate Pool Pump - SMF-110 would be the replacement.

Hi I have a separate pump that powers my waterfall spillover from spa to pool.
It appears to be an older Hayward Super (Sp-1600 marking on basket lid)
Motor label says THP 1.25.
Is this a good drop-in replacement for the Super? Any other recommendations? It’s for the waterfall only so I really only need single speed for this purpose. Thanks!
Hello Damien. The Waterway SMF 1.0 HP Max Rate Pool Pump is a replacement for the Hayward Super Pump model SP1600. The drop of .25 HP, Hayward to Waterway, is not significant in this application. In viewing the pictures you provided, there is no simple "drop-in " replacement. That would be true for any manufacturer, make/model would-be replacement. There is some plumbing that will need to be done. The Waterway SMF-110 suction inlet is the identical height to that of the Super Pump - good news. The pressure side outlet is 1/4 inch different. The alteration required of the pressure side plumbing makes this an insignificant difference. Fortunately, there is enough existing free pipe on both the suction and pressure sides to facilitate the change out,
