Hi, Terry. You can use the Poly Ball with this filter. To determine the amount, refer to the Poly Ball product data and installation.

I have a Koi pond about 10x10x3 feet. what pump/filter do you recomend?

Hello,Unfortunately, we would not know. We would not specialize in koi ponds. We recommend going to your local pet store to see what they recommend.

Electrical question for ya. Does it need a dedicated breaker?

Good day, Zach, we would recommend a dedicated breaker for these units. A 20 amp break would be enough to cover if you are wiring 230 or 115 volts.

If this system does not have a timer, can I connect a timer to it? I'm talking about a simple timer, like you would use for your Christmas lights, outdoors.

Hi Carol, yes as long as the timer can handle the rated amps/amperage of the pump.
