I have purchased a D>E> cleaner, do I have to disassemble the filter to clean the tubes?

John, If you have a large enough bucket or compartment to place the entire Tube Nest into to soak, then you don't have to disassemble unit to clean.

Hi Mike the fingers on this nest are 13.5" long so I believe this is one you need, but to be certain could you email us the model # of your filter which should be on a label located on the side of your filter tank.

What is the cause of quick buildup of pressure once filter is turned on? I have had flex tubing cleaned and still have the issue.

Hi Jack, The flex tube could be old not allowing the water to flow through the unit.

Hi Lisa, Submerging the complete nest in a "Filter Cleaner" or mild acid solution as stated in the Hayward Filters Perflex Manual.

My filter is 24 yrs old. I've cleaned the filter fingers in your filter cleaner,. the problem started last year. I turn the pump/filter on, it runs for 1 minute, then water flow is down to nothing, turn off, bump handle 5 times, turn on, water flow good for 1 minute then down to nothing. After soaking over night in your cleaner, fingers came out whiter, worked for a couple days running for 20min, then back to old tricks. Could fingers be so old and dirty that they just cannot become clean?

Hi, TerriAnne. Based on your description of what is happening, it's time to replace the tube assembly in your filter.
