Flow keeper valve goes down on the cleaner in the pool? or up in the skimmer? Also, which end is up when installed? I bought a used Zodiac Beta with no instructions and don't want to wonder why it won't work if I install it wrong. Thank you Greg

why my barracuda vacuum stop w/c I clean my filter 2 mos ago, when I used the skimmer run smoothly you can tell by the flow of the water.

Good morning Rene, Do you have suction on the skimmer? If so it could be that the diaphram inside the cleaner is stretched or has a hole in it. We do sell the diaphram but I would check to see if this is your problem. If so, You can find that part by typing Barracuda parts in our search bar.

I bought a new flowkeeper a few months ago. I didn't have any problems with it for approx. five or six months. A few days ago I took it out because I had to pour some stabilizer through the skimmer which I had done before on several occasions. Ever since, as soon as I insert the flowkeeper the pump pressure goes down and the barracuda is not working. What could be wrong? The flowkeeper looks perfect.

I feel like there is a blockage in your plumbing causing a reduction in suction. I recommend Purge which is manufactured by Natural Chemistry and will clear your pipes allowing for a stronger flow.

What is the purpose of the red tab thing on the flowkeeper?
Reply
Hi, Michael. The red tab is used to keep the valve open.

The red tab is missing off of the valve. Is this part necessary to run right.? It’s running very slow. If so, can I buy red tab? Thanks for your time.

I had my G3 out of the pool for a month and when I went to put it back online it would not run and I noticed the flow keeper would open up, does not matter if the hose to the cleaner is connected or not. What could cause this and do flow keepers go bad?
Reply
Hi, Stephen. A flow keeper can go bad if parts are broken, primarily the springs or the red tap.

my flowkeeper valve keeps opening up as soon as I turn on the pool pump. what can I do the barracuda mx8 will not move with the valve open.

Hello David- The Flowkeeper Valve (w60050) part number 3237-130 can be adjusted by moving the bottom piece that onnects with the spring to ther 2 or 3 position. I would suggest moving it to a higher tension to see if that helps.

how can you tell if the flowkeeper valve is bad. what will it be doing.
Reply
If the springs on the valve have gone bad,(in example corrosion), the plastic has broken allowing unwanted water flow into it, or if the valve is not staying in the position that you set it at then it may be time to replace it.

My flow keeper valve pops out of the skimmer hole after I turn the pump off every time.
What is my problem?

Hi Frank, I would suggest using a rubber 45-degree elbow that will help to keep that valve positioned in the skimmer suction hole.
