I have roughly a 20000 gallon in-ground pool, will this unit be sufficient for that?

Hi, Kevin. Unfortunately, (1) one unit will not be sufficient for a 20,000 gallon pool. The E3T Electric Digital 27kW Pool/Spa Heater - 17124 would be the unit and size I will recommend for a pool your size pool when it comes to using an element style heater.

What the temperature range of this unit?

The mechanical T-Stat that is in this unit has a max range setting of 107*, however, if it is tied in with a standard control system it will be a 104* max temp.

I’m using it for a pond with fish. What is the minimum temperature? Will it keep it at say 70 or 75 degrees?

Will this heat a 15 ft round X 52 above ground pool?

You will get a temp rise but it will be most likely to be very inefficient to operate. There are many factors that go into sizing a pool heater. Indoor or outdoor ( we know this is outdoor) Will it be covered? Need to determine the surface area of the pool in sq ft. Average air temp of the coldest month the pool would be in use. Subtract the average air temp from the desired water temp for the required temperature rise. Electrical ampacity and voltage available on site. Example: a 5.5kw will draw 22 amps, 11kw will draw 45 amps, so breaker size will be larger. These are the start of the questions/information needed to correctly size a pool heater.

Would this be enough to heat an above ground 18x48 in the summer months in indiana? Will keep covered at night and have solar cover on top as well.

Does this service saltwater pools above ground?
If not what do you recommend.

there really is no recommendation for heaters for a salt water pool. The misconception is that the salt water does damage but the truth is heater damage is almost always caused by water chemistry, specifically low PH. Yes, you can use this heater but do not rely on checking your chems just once a week.

Will this heater be sufficient to heat a 4800 gal. above ground oval pool. 12x18

The quick answer is no. There is a mathematical formula to size a pool heater. Need to know, indoor or outdoor, the pool surface area in sq ft (length x width), desired water temp, average outdoor temp pool is used to determine heat rise required, (subtract average temp from desired temp) electrical ampacity available. The 46-355-1100 is typically used on spas under 700 gal.

We have a 15x30 above ground pool. We are all electric also. What size heater would you recommend to heat our pool?
We are not able to give a specific size without more specific information. There is a mathematical formula to size a pool heater. Is the pool covered? What is the average outdoor temp the pool will be used & what kind of temp rise will be required. Electrical ampacity availability on site. desired pool temp when in use? Based on the sq footage of the pool & no other information we would have to guess you will need a heater that is between 24 -45 kw, so between 115 - 245 amps. Formula is surface area in sq ft, average temp of coldest month in use, subtract average temp from desired water temp (usually 78* -82*) pool surface area (sq ft) x temp differential x 12 to determine KW required.

Will this heater work on an above ground 15 foot diameter 48 inches tall? It is in a garage.

Hi John, No this will not work on a 15' Above Ground Pool. We would suggest the Raypak 11 KW Above Ground Pool Heater for a 15' Above Ground Pool. Please note that this heater is wired 230V.
