I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?

In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.

The unions on this Multiport valve is female threaded, no clamp is needed to connect the valve to the filter tank.

I just purchased the Sta Rite System 3 S8D110 Filter (53 sq ft) from your site.
Is this the right backwash filter for the filter I just bought (part number 18201-0200)?

Hi Greg, The 2" Multiport Valve Assy. (18201-0200) would be the correct valve that would fit onto the Sta-Rite S8D110 Filter.

Replumbing sta rite 18201-0200 multiport valve. Is top port on side (not the filter connections) the connection for the input from pump to the filter and the lower port the connection for output from valve to pool?

Hi, Yes, The upper left port is the pump port and the lower right port is the pool return port.

Have a relatively new WC212-150PN selector valve but water seeps up in the center, fills the selector slots and overflows from the top. Not a flood but it spills over. I've replaced the spider valve underneath. Must I replace the entire valve handle assembly or are there serviceable gaskets or O-rings within? Note that the valve handle assembly when removed (and when in situ) springs back in place immediately so the assembly doesn't seem like it needs replacement were it not for the leakage.

Good morning Bryan, If it is leaking up through the handle then you would need a handle kit. It comes with the spring, washer's and o-rings. If it is leaking from the sides where it screws together. Then you would need a top o-ring. if this is to complicated in rebuilding the handle. I would recommend just purchasing the whole top and replacing it.

I have the Sta-Rite System 3 sand filter, model S8S70. The owner's manual lists multi-port valve part no. 18202-0200 as the correct valve. Is this the same as part no. 18201-0200? Part no. 18202-0200 seems to be no longer available on the market.

Hi Djay, Yes this 18201-0200 is the proper replacement for the 18202-0200 valve.

I have a Praher Plastics SM2-SR2... Apparently companies OEM the Praher multiport valves... Is this the same as the SM2-SR2 which has an external model of SM20-2? I'm ultimately trying to find a new vertical DE filter to fit the SM2-SR2 to since it doesn't fit my old Titan filter.. This is like finding a needle in a haystack!!

I need to rebuild my 18201-0200 valve. Do you sell a kit or can you recommend the parts I should order? The handle has become difficult to turn to the various selections and my backwash port seems to always have a slow drip.

We would suggest this Upper Handle Assembly along with this Spider Gasket

Hi, I have a Sta-rite mult-port selector value WC212-150PN. I believe it now maps to this model.
The diverter/key assembly that holds the handle in with the pin broke (attached picture). Can I replace this part? It's labeled SP-715-C.
Yes, the WC212-150PN is replaced by the Multiport Valve D.E. 2" - 18201-0200
