How does this clean salt cell? Do You pour acid into the stand?
Thanks

Hello Mary - That is correct, in a way. You would screw the cell onto the stand. You would then pour a mixture of water and acid. A ratio of 3 parts water and 1 part acid is the best to start. You would then let site for about 10 - 15 minutes, pour out the mixture and unscrew and spray out with a garden hose. If you click HERE , you can see a video detailing the process.

Turbocell cap stand works great however, when I remove the Turbocell for cleaning, my pool drains from the return pipe and there is no shutoff valve on this end of the return system. Is there a threaded plug I can purchase to stop the pool from backflushing while cleaning my turbocell? If so, please advise where I can get one.

Hi, Steve. You can purchase the Turbo Cell Placeholder - GLX-CELL-PIPE to resolve the issue that you're having when cleaning the cell.

This is totally embarrassing. After cleaning my cell, I can't remember which way to hook it back up. It would be nice if it had an arrow for the direction of the flow. Once you tell me, then I will draw an arrow on with a Sharpie. Just tell me if the cord is on the right as the water flows right to left? Thanks.

Hi, Marilyn. The Turbo Cell can be installed in either direction.

I immersed my Salt Turbo cell-5 in Muriatic acid & water solution for two hours and it came out looking like new. It's about 7 years old. Will it be functional?

Hello Dave. The Turbo Cell T5 should remain functional. The Turbo Cell is manufactured for use in an outdoor environment, able to withstand weather elements. However, it is recommended that the Turbo Cell NOT be fully immersed during cleaning. The Pureline Cleaning Stand is designed as a cleaning aid for Hayward Salt Cells and compatible replacements. This presents a superior option to the fully immerse cleaning method. Cleaning Stand For Turbo Salt Generator Cells - GLX-CELLSTAND
