I put in a new circuit board in my aqua rite and the power light is still not on - what is the problem?

When the "POWER" LED is not on - then check to make sure either 120V or 240V input source is connected to the proper screw terminals at the Aqua Rite control. Verify input voltage with a voltmeter. If there is input power, the fuse may have blown. The Aqua Rite is protected by a 20 amp mini ATO fuse located on the circuit board above the cell connector. See our guide on "How to Replace a Hayward Aqua Rite Fuse". If still no power, call Hayward/Goldline at 866-772-2100.

my aquarite generator comes on when I turn the power on. The power and generator lights come on and after about 30 to 45 seconds I hear a click and then both lights turn off and the unit is not working.

Hi Hal, From past experiences with this system, you will need to replace the Main PCB (GLX-PCB-RITE).

Hayward's trouble shooting procedures for the rectifiers gives a range up to 33 volts. They tell you to replace the rectifiers if there is low or no voltage. However, mine is showing 45 volts, are the rectifiers bad or is this a problem with the voltage limiter?

Hi. The output voltage should range between 18-33 VDC. The input voltage should be 12 VAC. If the input voltage is correct, then the rectifiers are bad and will need to be replaced.

I get low salt & inspect cell led lights when the system turns on in the morning. I recalibrate & these leds go off until the system restarts the next day. I was following the Hayward troubleshooting guide. I have 2 questions. 1) I should get a reading of 12Vac as input to the rectifier (on the motherboard connector). I got a reading of 20VAC. 2) I should get 120VAC between the blue and white posts and between the violet and grey posts inputs to transformer. I get 98VAC. Is the motherboard bad?

Hi Bernardo, From your test results it does appear you have a bad Main PCB. We would getting the PL7100 AquaRite Replacement PCB by PureLine

What are the fuses for in the rectifiers? Where are the fuses installed? My problem is no LEDs and no chlorine being generated. Also the system is older and only has 7 positions when you push the diagnostics button, so I can't tell if my T-15 is what the box is programmed for.

Hi, Chuck. The Fuse is located on the Main PCB. This Rectifier Kit can be used with several different Hayward controls which have a different configuration. You have an old PCB which has a software revision of 1.4 or less which does not have the option to select a different sell size.

Will I be able to use a new PCB board? Will a new board allow me to select the right T-cell?

Hi Charles, When you repeatedly press the diagnostics button you should get a REV # can you supply that? If the screen is completely dead then could you let us know approximately how old the system is?

I have a Goldline GLX-PCB-MAIN - Part # 066008f-1 It's beeping, flashes the display but then goes blank - about every 2 seconds. I tested transformer and think I have a bad rectifier. Do you have rectifiers for this part and / or could this be the problem? Thanks! Bob

This upgrade kit will have those rectifiers. The purpose of the rectifiers is to change the after transformer voltage from AC to DC. So the after rectifier should show almost no ac voltage and full 12 or 24 dc volt voltage depending on the transformer specs that feed the board.
