I need the basket that is not completely round, it has to have flat sides. My current skimmer model is 05280-0302, which replacement basket do you recommend?

Laura, The Basket With Handle (4402010103) is the only Astal Skimmer basket that is not completely round and has two flat sides.

Does this basket have a weight at the bottom?

Hello, there is not a clear picture that states this unit has a weight at the bottom, but most ones that have pictures of the bottom doesn't have a weight.

I'm looking for a waterways skimmers basket with the number 05280-0401 on the bottom. The basket is 8 inches across the top 4 15/16 height and 5 15/16 across the bottom. The top has a handle in the middle and while its rounded it has two opposing flat sides about 2 1/5 inches long that hold it in the skimmer

I found a part number 05280-0402 on the handle of the basket, that's about all I have found anywhere. I can't find a basket at any of the local stores will this one work in its place?

I believe this is the correct skimmer I need but wanted to know if there is one taller in height? The slot looks like it can go as tall as 8".

Hello Mike. The Astral Inground Skimmer basket 05280r0400 is the OEM skimmer basket for Astral Skimmer models 28883, 28884, 07563, and 17110. There is not a taller version.
