I have a inground pool that is about 10,000 in size, and the pipes are 2". Will this product work for me?

Yes this pump and filter is sufficient fore your pool. You may need to reduce the plumbing to 1.5 inch at the valve and pump ports though.

Hi. I have an in ground pool about 15.000 gals. Depth 3.5 ft. to 7 ft.. Would this product work for me? If not could you make a recommendation? My cartridge system consists of 4 ea. 20 micron filters of 81 sq. ft. filtration area for each. How big of a sand system ans size of sand would i need

Hi Valerie, this system would not work on an inground pool as it is not a self-priming pump. You need a self priming pump on an inground pool as normally inground pool equipment is above the water level of the pool. For a 15,000 gallon pool we would suggest a PureLine 1.5 HP Pure Water Pump along with a S244T 24" Sand Filter.

Can I get the system with a motor that runs on 220 volt. I would rather have a pump that runs on 220 volts.

The alternative is to install inground pool equipment, you may like to review the Hayward Super Pump 1 HP Single Speed W/ S244T 24" Sand Filter & Valve - SP2607X10S244T or click here to view all Hayward Inground Pump & Filter Systems.

Does this pump and filter have the two speed pump, if not which one does and is it a advantage to have?

A good pump/filter combo with a pump that is dual speed is part number 52252406S. The advantage is putting it on low speed when you are just circulating your water to save on your energy bill and turn on high speed when you need more pressure like if you have your suction side cleaner running.

We have a inground pool (15 x 35) with a Hayward ST220 filter and I think Super pump with 1 HP motor. The motor failed the pump seals again, replacement seals installed yesterday are leaking a bit. The motor shaft has some wear on it and was stuck when we moved in 2 years ago. Filter occasionally blows sand into pool after a backwash. We are using a salt water system on the pool.
If I were to just go ahead and replace the system, would this be appropriate replacement?

Hi, Ken. This is not an appropriate system is for an inground pool. It will not work if the water level of the pool if lower than the pump inlet.

Would this model be good for a 15x30 x52" tall above ground or could I go with a smaller model to do the same job.

Hi, Dave. This Jacuzzi Laser 22.5" Sand Filter W/ 1.5 HP Pump - 94084968 will be sufficient for a 15' x 30' x 52" above ground pool. A smaller filter and pump can also do the job with a longer run time.

Hello Joseph, For an inground unit Hayward Super Pump 1 HP Single Speed W/ S244T 24" Sand Filter & Valve - SP2607X10S244T would be more appropriate for an inground 26 octogan. The Jacuzzi Laser 22.5" Sand Filter W/ 1.5 HP Pump (94084968) are more appropriate for an above ground unit.

I have a 15 X 24 oval pool 52" high. I am just wondering if I need a 1.5 horsepower pump or would a 1 horsepower pump work. My jacuzzi on it now is 23 years old and the last two years the suction has not been great. I have always had a 1 hp pump. Not sure if it is a seal problem or the filter is just old and ready to be replaced.

Hi Matt, Thats great that you have got 23 years out of your Jacuzzi Pool Filter System. Yes I would say it is time to be replaced, the Jacuzzi Filter System is no longer available through us and we would suggest this 1.5 HP PureLine Sand Filter System this would be the proper size for your pool.
