What is a PVA brush? Can this clean a preformed gunite pool with concrete steps and a ladder with no problem?

Hi Del, A PVA brush is a rubber scrubbing brush. This cleaner can be used on a gunite pool without an issue. The cleaner will periodically go up the stairs and should not have a problem with the ladder. If the cleaner does have an issue with the ladder then there is a ladder guard that we carry that is relatively inexpensive and prevents the cleaner from going behind the ladder.

Can this be used for an above ground pool as well?

Hi Stella, we ould not suggest this cleaner for an above ground pool as the weight of the cleaner can tug on the liner. We would suggest the Pool Rover Jr. Pool Cleaner for above ground pools.

What will this unit do if it gets in a corner. Will it just sit there and keep scrubbing wearing away the fiberglass pool at that spot?

Hi Wayne the cleaner should not get stuck in the corners, however if it does it would back up pivot and move forward or backwards to free itself.

Hi- what is the capacity of this compared to the original aquabot? Does it have the same or greater flow than the original?
We have to replace our existing old style aquabot to serve or 18,000 Gunite pool and are wondering will this work as well?
Can I use the bags from my other machine?

Hi Mike, The Aquabot Pro IG can handle 600 GPH more than the Aquabot Classic, can be programmed to shut off 1hr, 1.5hr and 2hr after use, has a PVA brush for extra grip and will clean your gunite surface pool. The Aquabot Classic bag can not be used with the Aquabot Pro.

I understand the unit is powered by 110 volts, but does it also get connected to the skimmer or some type of vacuum line?

This cleaner is self contained. You will need to take the filter out of the cleaner and hose it off to clean them

Hi Ron. We ship either UPS or USPS to Brisbane Australia. Depending on your zip code (let's assume it's 4001) it would cost about $300 via UPS for the 30 pound package not including duties, fees or taxes. I have had an aqua bot pro IG for 2 years. The pump no longer works and the pool place wants $600 to repair it. I only paid $300 more than that to buy it. My warranty expired on April 22nd. I also am not able to find parts to repair it myself. Is this planned that way

Hi Jeff, No, it's not planned for you cleaner to fail after the warranty period and cost more than half of the purchased priced price of the cleaner to repair it. We do not have a parts list for this unit, but if you contact Aquabot to get the part number of the replacement pump motor we can see if we have this part available.
