Pierre, You may need to replace the Filter Cartridge (70101) and or the Filter Door if the debris is bypass the unit and getting back into the pool. The filters are probably old that there no longer able to capture the debris so is letting it back into the pool.

Can the Hayward SharkVac be used in a vinyl liner pool?

Leslies, this information is taken straight from the Hayward Site for the Sharkvac : In-ground residential pools up to 20' x 40'All surfaces - vinyl, concrete, fiberglass, tile pools SharkVac cleans pool floor only. SharkVac XL cleans pool floor coves, walls and waterline.

Does the SharkVac clean the walls and stairs of the pool? Also, does it remove the algae and bacteria? Thank you.

This cleaner does not clean the walls or stairs. This cleaner is a floor specific cleaner. It will vacuum algae from the walls of the pool. Keep in mind that algae is a plant that is growing in your pool and needs to be chemically treated. This cleaner will not remove bacteria. With proper sanitisation levels in your pool, bacteria will be eliminated.

My Sharkvac will not advance forward or backward. It is however moving water through the system which is visible by the turbulent water I see coming to the surface. I’ve checked to make sure the drive wheel isn’t broken or out of socket and nothing seems to be binding the one track that I see. Help...?! Thanks for any tips... Robert

I pulled this from the Hayward website...No movement but the impeller turns • Check with the scanner for communication failure, see scanner section to diagnose. • Check for impeller obstruction. • Check for broken blades. • Check the electrical source for a proper voltage range of 115-125v, including an extension cord if used. ¾No movement and no pump discharge • Drive motor pin or drive motor is broken possibly due to overload during use. To avoid repeat failure, follow-up with the customer for obstructions in the pool such as a ladder. The Scanner will display a Drive Over Current signal if the machine has been caught on an obstruction. • Check for belt or roller obstruction • Check for broken impeller • Check for missing roller tube bearing screws, 2 per sideHere is a link to more Troubleshooting for the TigerShark
