How is the Pool Frog Mineral Cartridge installed?
Reply
The cartridge is easily installed. First, turn off the pump and remove the Pool Frog lid. Pull out the old mineral cartridge and discard. Place the new cartridge into the Frog vessel while lining up the slit on the cartridge with the fin in the vessel. Place the lid back on the Pool Frog vessel and tighten.

The model number stamped on my old cartridge 01-12-5462 matches your item model number, but mine looks slightly different in that it has an aqua blue cylinder section about 1-1/4" tall below the 1-1/2" yellow band. Is your item the same and your picture is not accurate? Thanks.

When using the 01125462 Pool Frog Mineral Cartridge you would change it every 6 months at the latest.

We mistakenly put 24 ounces of frog algaecide into the frog dispenser instead of the chlorine pellets. The full bottle ran through the frog and then into the pool. Is there any impact to the frog mineral pack, the frog unit, the piping and the pool. our pool is about 17,000 gallons. The normal dosage is to put 6 ounces into the pool once a week in summer. Since the algaecide is copper based, I realize we may have elevated copper levels. Thanks.

HMS, Over-dosing the pool should not have any impact on the mineral cartridge.

I just ordered this item online (order # 583901). I searched the web for FROG MINERAL RESERVOIR FOR INGROUND POOLS. Will this fit my frog unit? I have always used the 5400 IG mineral reservoir but the picture on this one does not look the same.
Please advise before shipping.
