My Nautilus will turn on for very short periods of time (maybe 5 minutes to 30 minutes) and then just stop. I think that it is the motor as the power source remains lite and turns on and off. Does it sound like this is the replacement part I need and can you explain how to replace the motor and keep it watertight? I am pretty handy and want to keep this cleaner. Please get back to me ASAP. Thank you for your anticipated assistance.

Is the cleaner just turning off or is the power supply also turning off? If the power supply is staying on then it is the motor diag. but if the power supply is turning off then it could be the power supply or you are having a connection problem with the cable.

My robot turns on for 5 min and then stops working. The power supply light remains on. Is this a motor issue? will replacing this solve the problem?

Sounds like it is a motor issue. What model of Dolphin cleaner do you have and I can see if we carry the motor.

I have a Dolphin Nautilus serial number D39378SUBE, it's approximately 18 mos old. It turns on for approximately 10 seconds, I see water churning and then nothing. The power supply light remains on and there is nothing impacting the impeller. If I turn the cleaner off and then back on it acts the same way. Do you think it's the motor? Do you have the replacement motor? If so what is the part number and where can I get replacement instructions?

Hello Marc, I would check with Maytronics on running a diagnostic then based off serial number can provide parts to replace.

Hello,
I have a Dolphin M400 (~23 months old), and when I turn it on it churns water then travels only in a short arc, then back. It is trying to move, but only one side is turning. Are there separate motors for each side? Does it sound like this is the problem?
Thanks,
Terry Davenport

Hi, Terry. You can try these few troubleshooting suggestion; 1). Check that the power supply cable is plugged properly into the power supply socket. Check power to the socket and reconnect Pool Cleaner. 2). Turn the power supply off. Wait 30 seconds then turn it back on. 3). Unplug the power supply. Open the impeller cover and check that nothing is trapped in the impeller. The Supreme M400 unit has a Dual-Drive Motor - 9995382-EX which could be the issue.
