Do you need to buy a gasket or does it come with one. My Spa is 10 years old with a regular spa light, is it easy to replace?

Jill, The LPL70301102A does not come with any gaskets. You will need to purchase one separately. In order to find the correct gasket, you will need to know the make and model of the light housing. Once you have that info, you can find the parts breakdowns here.

I have a pool light fixture in my spa. Is it ok to use the spa Colorsplash instead of the pool Colorsplash LED bulb since they are both Edison type? Just trying to save some money.

Hello Bill. You can use the Spa Colorsplash bulb as long as the fixture is, as you say, a standard pool size. The bulbs are just sized for the fixture they can fit. Please, make sure to replace the gasket when doing this. No matter how new the fixture, a $15-$20 gasket to protect a higher priced bulb than a standard is a sound investment.

I have a Hayward SP0591HSL100. Seems that it is an AstroLite II, but it has a halogen bulb. Will this or the 2G spa lamp work? If not, is there any LED option that will work?

Unfortunately none of the LED replacement bulbs will fit into a halogen base. All of the LED bulbs have an Edison base which is similar to a standard screw in style base you see on light bulbs in your home, where the halgen bulbs are a clip in bulb. Your best option would be to replace the complete light fixture with the Hayward Colorlogic Spa Light. We have a good Video on How to Replace a Pool or Spa Light Fixture which will walk you through the process of doing this project.

I have a hayward SP 591 SL 100 watts 120v spa fixture that looks alot like the 590 model you show. Would I be correct in assuming this 3G bulb would work along with a new gasket?
Thanks,
Bryan

Hello Bryan yes the LPL70301102A will be the correct LED replacement for that light and 3553-03 will be the light gasket you need

I have the Amerlites 100 W 120v small screw in Spa light would this work in it?

Hi Larry, The Color Splash LED 3G Spa Lamp, 120V will work with your Pentair Amerilite 100W 120V light fixture. You will also need the Pentair SpaBrite Guardian Silicone Gasket (LPL-M-G-P).

I saw that you said that these don't work with the Aqualight. Is it because they're not a mini-candelabra base? Are there any LED lights that work with the Aqualight?
Reply
Unfortunately there is not a replacement LED pool bulb that works with mini-candelabra base. In this scenario if you wanted to go with LED you would need a complete Intellibrite LED Pool Light Fixture.

what is the real difference between the 2g and the 3g color splash pool lights
Reply
The 3G is a newer technology bulb than the 2g meaning that it is brighter and you don't see the individual rays of light like you do on the 2g.

Has anyone tried using an E12-E26 adapter to install into the Pentair SpaBrite? Is there just not enough room?

You would not need that adapter, but if you wanted to use it, it would fit in that fixture.

Would this work with my American Products 7810xx housing? It says it needs 100W, 120V and R-20 Bulb type on the housing.
Also, the switch that it is connected to a dimmable one, would I need to change it to a standard switch for this to work?
Reply
Hi Ed, Yes this bulb does fit into an American Products 7810xx needing a 100W, 120V, R-20 Bulb type. None of the LED Bulbs work on a dimmer so you would need to replace with a standard switch. Another bulb I really like and that will work in your light fixture is the PureLine PureColors LED Replacement Bulb. When replacing your bulb you will also need to replace your American Products Lens Gasket.
