We are replacing our liner and noticed our coping is beginning to break down, will this vertical mount liner track fit under our existing coping as a repair versus removing the original coping?

Hi Doug, These coping are not meant for repairs. If you have these VM1 coping then you can replace sections or you will have to replace all of the coping.

I am using this product to convert a Polynesian low hung liner pool to a top hung liner., I have already ordered this through your website. I am looking for installation help. How many screws are recommended per foot when installing the product?

A  Answered on 7/22/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alex V.

Bryan, The screws can be placed every 6" (minimum 2 per feet).

will this liner track work with all vinyl liners? We want to order the 37 mm thickness liner but want to make sure this will work before we buy. Also, do we need to buy the beaded liner lock to use with this liner?

Joe, This is designed to work with in ground beaded liners. You can use the liner lock but most new installs do not need it.

I am installing a custom above ground pool based on fanta sea/kayak design. Can I use this product instead of coping? Using a beaded liner

Hi, Mike. Unfortunately, I'm unable to confirm if you can use this coping. I would recommend you verify with the pool manufacturer.

i am wanting to place a vinyl liner in a fiberglass pool, Is this the coping I need, or do you offer something else more appropriate?

This Cinderella VM1 is the best choice for your application, make sure to use stainless steel screws, which will need to be installed 6" apart.

I too am converting a Polynesian low hung, 16x32 rectangle with the radius/rounded corners, are there curved sections available to fit that?

The VM1 extrusion is bendable in the field down to a 6" radius.

what determines whether you need 12" or 24" legs on the rounded corners?
     Reply

    • Commented on 4/30/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The legs are just the straight pieces of coping that come off the radius.  You would just need to cut the legs to the desired length, so if you think 12" would be sufficient then you would go with 12" and if you need a bit more then you would go with 24"

Makes absolutely no difference if you use 12 or 24" legs. That only determines the length of the straight pieces needed.

Only need 10 pieces... not a case of 15. Can you buy as individual pieces? What is cost? Or... only by the case. thanks.

We can sell individual pieces. The part number per piece would be CPVM109600

I have a few questions. 1) What do you mean by "Field Bendable" I need to bent it into 7 foot radius arcs. Can I do this by hand easlily? 2) Would 316 Stainless Steel Rivets be a better solution than using #10 Self Tapping Screws? FYI: The ones I thinking about have Shear Strength and Tensile Strength of 1,000 lbs each. 3) How thick is the material on the long side? For Rivet question. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can easily bend this coping at installation to a 7 foot radius. You should bend as you are screwing it in place. I have not had anyone use a stainless rivet before to my knowledge so I'm not really sure. I do know using the screws if quite simple and no pre drilling is necessary.

Hi there, does this liner fit a standard bead? Also, we have a rectangular pool with straight cut corners - do we just miter cut this to fit or do we need to order special corner pieces? many thanks!

A  Answered on 4/28/2021 by Industry Professional

Hi Sarah, Yes this profile of coping does fit standard in-ground liner bead and it can be cut to fit in the field. Note we are out of stock on this item until July. I hope this helps. T

Unfortunately, we do not have another option. The manufacturer is out of most of their coping at the moment.

Here is my issue. I have plastic/pvc bullnose coping which is all one piece with the liner track part of it. On two sections, the track is starting to crack or the tooth that holds the liner is degraded. I DO NOT have the money to replace the entire coping for the whole pool nor does the entire pool need the coping replaced. What I would like to do is shave off the bad track areas from the coping and replace it with this VM1 track. Do you think that would work ?

 Reply

A  Answered on 5/4/2021 by Industry Professional

Mike I am not sure that would work. The flange to screw the track to the wall is not very large on the vm1. I am not sure you would have enough flange left to screw it to the wall. The VM-3 profile (same item with a longer mounting flange) may work better but there is no way for us to know for sure. If your replacing the liner at the same time you might want to install the entire perimeter with vm-1 or vm-3 and order the liner to fit with the correct wall height. Unfortunately we are currently out of both of those profiles and do not expect any until at least late fall. Hope this information helps good luck with your project. T
