Yes this light fixture will fit into the same light niche as what you currently have installed in your pool.

Does this system need any other parts to convert my original white lite system to the color changing system? How do I know if it will fit my existing bucket? Return policy if it doesn't fit?

can we just replace the pool light with out having to replace the spa light ?

Hi Janet, Yes you can but the pool light and spa light will be different colors. For example if you change the pool light with this light then it will be color changing and if you leave your old white light in spa it will be white. I have seen pool owner's do this, it is really just personal preference if this is okay for you.

Hi Bob, the PL5834 has been discontinued but the PL5831 120V 50' Cord Light Switch Model would be a replacement for your light.
