Will this work for a 23000 gallon fiberglass pool with 1 1/2" pipe. Current set up is a Hayward S244T sand filter (thinking of upgrading to a cartridge filter) and a Pentair inline chlorinator. Current pump is a Hayward Super II Pump paired with a Emerson K63CXEPZ - 4767, 1.5 HP motor on 115V with Intermatic Timer. The only return is through the skimmer. The equipment is inside a third car garage. Really looking at saving some money on utilities.

Hi Steve, this would be a great pump for the set up you explained. The only issue I see is that you are set up for 115V and this pump is 230V only.

Is this a replacement for the Pinnacle Pentair 342351?

I am replacing a Hayward Super Pump with a single speed 1 hp motor. I do not have any time of timer controlling this pump. I just have an on off switch on the wall.
1. Do I need to add a timer to the PL2607?
2. Can I just turn the PL2607 off at the switch without a problem?
3. Can I leave power to the PL2607 on and will the controller turn it on and off as programmed?
Thank you.

Hi, Steve. A separate timer is not needed for this pump. Yes, you can turn the unit off or leave it on to allow the pump to follow the set on/off times.

I currently have a 1HP Hayward Maxi Flo II that I need to replace. Our pool is a Doughboy (13000 gal.) above ground that we have installed in the ground. The pump has to be self priming and run on 110 volts. Lift from skimmer is 4-5 ft. I'd like a pump that will match the plumbing for the Hayward. I wish I could get a variable speed since we have a salt water pool. Please give me your best recommendation. Thank you, Gary PS I'm already on your mailing list

Gary, The PL2607 runs on 230v. The only 2 speed pumps we have that are 115/120v are above ground pool pumps but they are not self priming.

Will this work to replace a Hayward 3400 vsp with having to make modifications to the plumbing ?

Hi, Patrick. The Hayward Ecostar Pump is a much higher performance pump that this Prime Pump. In order to find out if this Pureline Prime pump will meet you pool needs, I would recommend following the steps in our How To Size a Pool Pump guide and the info provided in the product description.

can you recommend an adapter to transfer 2 inch ports to 1.5 inch?

Travis you would require two of this 2" x 1.5" Reducer Bushing.

Currently running SPX2607X102S, 1.5" pipe, Ozonator hooked into front of this pump, Pump controlled by Sun Touch Solar controller for the two speeds. Can ozonator be hooked to this pump? how will Sun Touch controller effect the pump controller? especially switching the speeds when controller programmed for water temp for pool motor to switch to low speed and run the ozonator.
Reply
Hi, Bob. This pump can be used with an ozonator, however, the SunTouch will not be able to control this pump because of the built in controller and based on your configuration you will need a pump that does not have a built-in controller.

I need to replace my 2 speed pump, and I have a SWG. It is set up now, that my SWG will not come on until I power up the pump. Can this one just be installed by using the same wiring I have now. I have two black wires and one green coming to the pump (220v). Does the timer pad on this pump interfere with this setup? Thanks!!

Hi, Mark. Unfortunately, this pump will work independently from your current system. It will require 230 volts but will not require a timer.

I would like to replace my Hayward super pump. Will this pump need much re-plumbing?
Reply
Hi, Chuck. It will not need to be re-plumbed. This is a drop in replacement, you will just need to make the adjustment to account for the 2" Unions included with this pump.

I currently have a Whisperflo Model WF-24 C Serial No 1-18-A99. I would like to replace with a dual speed pump. Will this pump work as a replacement? Will I need to make any wiring changes as this model is rated at 230 volts and my current model is 115/230 volts.
