The Phantom features a world of advanced technologies for added convenience and unmatched cleaning performance. Not only does it clean the bottom and sides of your pool, it automatically rises to the top and skims the surface. In auto mode, Phantom cleans the bottom and sides for approximately 13 minutes, and then the surface for seven minutes – repeating the cycle until your pool is amazingly, totally clean. The average pool can be completely cleaned in under three hours. You can also set Phantom to clean bottom only or top only. It's a custom-made clean that only the Phantom can deliver

Pros: Leaves pool spotless
Cons: A little bulky when removing from pool
This cleaner does a very good job...way better then the polaris I replaced it with. I was hesitant to spend the extra bucks, because it is a little pricey, but it is worth every penny. It cleans every inch of the pool and stairs, and it's even fun to watch. It's a larger machine and when taking it out of the water, if you don't position it just right, it's easy to spill some of the contents (debris) out of the bag back into the pool, but that's small potatoes. With practice I'm sure I'll improve my technique.

Pros: Can set to clean top and bottom or both. Options on how often "spinout" occurrs
Cons: Debri bag only lasted about 2 years and is over priced
This is my second one. The first one lasted 6 years. It runs an average of 3 hours a day 365 days a year with minimal maintenance. This is the only one I have ever owned so I'm not sure how it compares to others but I've been happy with the job it does. So happy.....I bought another one!

Cons: Tangles and tail sprays outside of pool
This is a replacement for the first Phantom. I love the fact that it skims the surface as well as cleaning the bottom and sides. However, the line gets tangled much more often than I like. Also, the tail breaks the surface of the water often and if you're close look out, you'll get wet!
