Simply the most economical way to heat your pool and spa. With today's record energy costs, there's never been a better time to invest in a heat pump. Compared to gas, oil or electric heaters, UltraTemp uses just a fraction of the energy to generate the same amount of heat.
An Eco Select ™ Brand: UltraTemp ® High Performance Heat Pumps transfer heat from the atmosphere to the pool or spa, saving up to 80% in energy costs compared to gas-fired heaters. Plus, they are the only heat pumps available that use R-410A refrigerant, EPA-recognized as environmentally safe and clean.

Hi, I have the Ultratemp 120 heat pump and an i-Aqualink wi-fi controller that does not appear to be able to turn the heat pump on or off. Can the Ultratemp connect to the i-Aqualink wirelessly? In the meantime, I have to push through the shrubs to access the unit to turn it on and off each time I want to heat the spa or the pool? Can the unit be left on all the time? It seems to run constantly if I don't turn it off. Thanks for your help. Eric

Hi, Eric. The UltraTemp will not be able to connect to the iAquaLink Controller. The unit can be left on using the water flow to active it when it calls for heating your pool or spa.

Will all pentair models work even if the water temp is low? Somebody told me they wont heat the pool if the water temp is 40° and under, regardless of the out door temp

The Pentair UltraTemp has an air temperature threshold of 50 degrees Fahrenheit. When the unit senses air temps below that, the compressor shutss off and it switches to a passive defrost cycle. In temps below 50 degrees F, the refrigerant will be too cold too effectively transfer heat. If you require a heat pump with a lower operating temperature we suggest the AquaCal Icebreaker.
