I currently have a pentair 1.25hp 230/115 volts hooked up to filter with 100 gpm. The motor on the pump is going bad and I want to replace it with a new variable speed model. Will the Superflo VS 1-1/2 hp work? If not what would you recommend?

Hello Dan - The Superflo 342000 will work as long as your supply voltage is 230. Some plumbing will be required. Also, the Superflo has 1.5" ports. If you have 2" pvc, you may want to consider the Pentair 011008. The 011008 also requires 230 voltage.

If there is a power failure will the Superflo (model 342000) lose its programmed settings? If this is the case, is there also a way to protect the settings so that the pump does not require reprogramming after each power cut?

Hello Gary - I was able to pull this straight from the SuperFlo VS manual "NOTE: If power is lost while the pump is in the ScheduleAdvance mode, then the 24-hour schedule will automatically start when power is restored."
