Product Description
The GLACIER POOL COOLER is a new state of the art, fan based cooling system that requires no freon or gas to operate. The pool water circulates through the system, removing the heat from the water instantly. The chilled water is pumped back into your pool, giving you a refreshing and comfortable feeling while swimming during the hot summer days.

We have models to accomodate any size residential pool. Most residential pools are under 30,000 gallons water size. The GPC-23 ("Icecube") unit is specially designed for dry climate regions such as the desert southwest ( ex. Arizona and Nevada) and the GPC -25 ("Iceblock") unit is designed to operate efficiently in the high humid areas such as the Gulf Coast states (ex. Texas and Florida). They are our two most popular units. We also can take care of those larger size backyard pools over 30,000 gallons size with the GPC- 210 ("Iceberg") unit. All of these models will drop the pool water temperature down 12 to 15 degrees within 12 to 14 hours. Also, our units have the option of temperature controls, we either interface with the new automated systems or we can install a temperature control switch on all manual pool equipment systems.

GLACIER POOL COOLERS are the perfect answer to uncomfortably warm swimming pools. Our swimming pool chiller is designed to solve the problem of hot pool water. The Glacier Pool Cooler is a solution that is affordable, easy to install, and inexpensive to operate. Not only will your pool be refreshing during those hot summer months but your poolwater chemistry will be easier to maintain. A ten degree drop in water temperature (95' to 85') can result in a savings of 20-25% on chemical consumption. Glacier Pool Coolers are the best available answer to the hot poolwater problem because 1.) it is it is a fan based system not a heat punp, so it does not need freon nor does it require the expense of operating a heat pump 2.) it is easily incorporated into your pool plumbing system and automated control systems 3.) It costs pennies a day to operate. If your pool water is hot, then we are the solution to your problem!

If you live in southern California, Nevada, or Arizona regions and have a pool size of 15,000 gallons of water or less our GPC -23 model/unit will accommodate cooling your pool down within 12 hours and will work just fine. This is because our units work faster and more efficient in less humid climate conditions. So, this means our units don’t have to cycle the volume of water as much to drop the temperature. For example, if you live in Phoenix, Arizona and have a pool size of 20,000 gallons of water and your pool temperature is 94 degrees F the GPC- 25 unit (" ice block") will drop the temperature of your pool in 12 hours to 80 degrees. The ideal refreshing swimming pool temperatures are between 82 degrees to 85 degrees. We also calculated the energy cost to cool your entire pool down overnight in the Phoenix Metroplex was around . 50 cents on your light bill. Remember the Glacier runs on 8.5 amps (electric only) no gas bill will come. Also, keep in mind it is not like heating your pool where the heater will keep coming on and off to maintain the heated temperature and running up your bill. Once you cool your pool down with the Glacier Pool Cooler overnight your pool will stay cool for a day or two. If you live in high humid regions such as S.Florida, Orlando, anywhere in Texas or along the Gulf Coast region our unit works excellent as well. It just takes a few more hours of operating time to reach your optimum cooling temperature. All of our units are equipped to have a temperature control or relay switch added to accommodate your comfort pleasure.

If your pool size is under 8,000 gallons the GPC-23 Model will work perfect for you.

If your pool size is 15,000 gallons to 25,000 gallons the GPC- 25 Model will work perfect for cooling your pool.

If your pool size is 25,000 gallons to 40,000 gallons the GPC-210 Model will accommodate.

Product: Glacier Pool Cooler up to 8,000 Gal

Hello, I just purchased a pool chiller from your company. Prior to the chiller my pool has been unusable. It's temperature was 95 degrees before installation of the chiller. Now it is a refreshing 83 degrees.
I cannot recommend your company enough. It is very rare that a product lives up to it's rputation, but yours certainly does.

Thank you again.

Questions customers have been asking about this product:
Q: Can I install my self? What is the refrigerant? Must it be replenished?

A: Yes, anyone can install the pool cooler themselves. In the bottom basis in the box is the installation ,operation manual with diagram and parts list. You can go to a local hardware store and get the proper installation parts. There is no refrigeration, no freon or gas to operate. Electric 110 Volt 60 Hertz 8 Amps fan does the work. This unit hooks up with the pool pump breaker. The home breaker powering the pool pump and pool cooler must be 20 Amps or above.

Q: Does the Glacier pool cooler have a thermostat? If not how do you regulate temperature?

A: The GPC does not come with a temperature control.  In most cases an owner will run their cooler at night along with their pool's cycle.  An owner may find that running the pool a longer or shorter amount of time will give them their optimal temperature.

Q: Is this an evaporative cooler - or does it just cool water by running at night with lower temperatures? How does it work?

A:
Yes, this system is based on evaporative cooling.  The manufacture has modified the technology to accomodate the swimming pool industry.  The pool water is circulated through the system while a fan cools the droplets and removes the heat from the water instantly.  The water is then pumped back into the pool lines and circulated back into the pool.

Q: Our summer temperatures average 98-103. Our pool is extremely warm. How much of a drop in water temperature can we expect? Does the unit have to run continually to be effective and finally, what type of operating costs can be attributed to this unit?

A: The pool cooler will drop the pool 10 to 15 degrees. The operating costs are around a dollar a night on running the cooler 10 hours. It does not have to run continually, just run it at night when the sun is off the pool and it will perform and drop this pool down and be refreshing.

Q: Can this cooling system be used with a salt water pool?

A: All of the chillers we carry are salt water compatible. After a couple of weeks of usage, spray down the pool cooler with a garden hose to wash off salt residue if any.
