Fiber Optics
Landscape Lighting

There are a few different types of fiber optic lighting that is offered for landscape lighting. You will need a Light Source Illuminator (SV150) to hook into your landscape lighting. Even if you use different types of landscape lighting you can plug it all into the same Illuminator (up to 550 strands of Fiber). Below is some of the Landcape Lighting we have available.

Fiber Optics - SV150 Illuminator
The Illuminator is the light source of the fiber optics. It is where the white light or the color changing actually occurs. The light is then transfered from the illuminator through the endglow cable and out through the lens. The color changing effect is actually caused by a color wheel located inside the Illuminator. One Illuminator can be used for multiple lights (underwater, perimeter, waterfall, or landscape). The maximum amount of strands that can be used per illuminator is 550 strands of fiber. An upgrade kit can be purchased that makes the maximum amount of strands 756 Strands (SVFH756KIT)
Fiber Optics - Endglow Cable
From the light source the light is transferred through actual fiber. In the case of underwater lighting the fiber is known as Endglow cable. The endglow cable is made in different strands of fiber (4 Strand up to 300 Strand) and is sold per the foot. The strand of endglow cable you purchase depends on the shape and color of your pool. The length of endglow cable is based on the length from where you put your Illuminator out to where your lens is located.

Fiber Optics - Pathway Lighting
Pathway Lighting can help brighten your sidewalks, driveways, landscapes, or pathway to or around your swimming pool. There are several different of styles available, and are placed directly into the ground. The 75 Strand Fiber Optic Endglow cable (SV75EG) will go from the Illuminator and plug into the pathway light. Most have a fiber capacity of 75 Strands. Since the Illuminator has a maximum capacity of 550 strands a total of 7 Lights can be used with one single illuminator (with 25 strands left over)

Fiber Optics - Paver Lighting
The Paver Lights can be installed into your brick patio, paver decks, driveway, or walls. The paver is 4" x 4" and has a 25 Strand Fiber Capacity. The 25 Strand Fiber Optic Endglow Cable (SV25EG) will go directly from the Illuminator into the Paver. Since the Illuminator has a maximum capacity of 550 Strands a total of 22 Pavers could be used with one single Illuminator.

Fiber Optics - Accent Lighting
The Accent Light (SVA200) is used to to highlight water features, rocks formations, or small trees and shrubs. The Larger Flood Light (SVA205) is used to illuminate the side of the house or shrubs, and trees. The light is flexible to help guide the light to the needed object. The smaller Accent Light (SVA200) has a Fiber capacity of 50-75 Strands while the larger Flood Light (SVA205) has a larger capacity of 75-225 Strands. The endglow cable goes from the Illuminator to the Accent Light.

Fiber Optics - Light Stick Kits.
Light Sticks can be used to add a fiber optic effect directly into your concrete. The light stick can be poured directly into the concrete and cut down so it's flush with the concrete. The Light Sticks have a Fiber capacity of 4-12 Strands. The endglow cable goes from the Illuminator to the Light Stick Kit.

Fiber Optic Lighting Layout
In the situation shown below there is both landscape and underwater lighting. 2 Illuminators are used because the maximum capacity of 550 Strands is reached with this application. The first Illuminator is plugged into the underwater lighting only (75 +75+ 150 + 150 + 100 = 550). The second Illuminator is used with the landscape lighting and the perimeter lighting (75+150+75+120+84= 504). The Perimeter Fiber has a cable of 42 Strands, but is plugged into the Illuminator at the start and end of the cable thus twice the amount of the Fiber or 84 Strands.
