The difference between these two chlorinators is the way they are plumbed into your swimming pool line. The offline chlorinator is ideal for retrofitting existing pool systems. The inline chlorinator is for permanent installation into the return line of new or existing systems. Here is how each system is to be plumbed into your system.

Both the Hayward and the Rainbow Pool Chlorinator are a good buy. They both operate using either the 1” or 3” Chlorine Tablets. The pool chlorinator controls the amount of chlorine that is put into the swimming pool. They run automatically with your pump and filter systems.
