How do you determine it is time to replace the PCC80, 4 pak cartridge filters??

Hello. There are several indicators that can assist in determining the end of life span for cartridge filter elements. Age: Manufacturers recommend that filter elements be replaced every 12-14 months. Age: The bands that surround the filter pleats are separated from the pleats, broken or excessively frayed. Filter Pressure: If, after a thorough cleaning, the filter pressure rises in an abnormally short period of time it may be the result of diminished filter capacity in which case replacement is prompted. Pleat Capacity: During the cleaning process, gently spread the pleats apart and look deep into the pleat fold. If the interior of the fold is dark gray or black and is not removed when cleaning, this represents a build-up of soils which reduces the filter's capacity to hold additional soils.
