I've never used water tubes before, but am considering buying some. What would the configuration/layout for installation of water tubes to the winter cover be for my 16'x32' inground pool?
Reply
Place the inground winter cover over the pool so there is 2-3 feet of overhang on all sides. Place the tubes through loops provided in your cover. You can use either a double or single winter tubes. Double tubes are a little more reliable so if ones side of the tube get punctured the other side will still hold the cover in place, until you are able to replace it. Use a garden hose to fill the tubes with water and close the cap/cover. A 16' X 32' pool would require 10-10' tubes and 1-8' tube. Corner Pool Water Tubes are also recommended for the corners of your pool.

(3 out of 5 stars) water tubes

Sealing the water in is a pain. Son finally figured out to use a 12" block under the seal and then press down. Couldn't do it otherwise. After that, all is okay.

(1 out of 5 stars) DO NOT BUY

Pros: One tube to fill with water
Cons: Will not stay on cover
The bags will not stay in place. The single tube bags are round and there is nothing to keep the bag from rolling away. If the wind blows hard it will be off the cover or in your pool by morning. The cover straps are the only reason they stay near the pool. Get the double tube bags they can't roll an will stay on your cover.
