Product Description

Single Circuit Freeze Protections Controls
These Freeze Protection Controls are designed to protect the pool and spa equipment and plumbing against freeze damage. They turn ON the pump and the heater when the outdoor temperature drops below the temperature set by the user adjustable thermostat. Models without timer connect to a timing or switching device and together, they control operation of the equipment as well as protect it against freeze damage. Models with timer provide both automation and protection for the equipment.

** PLEASE NOTE: If ordered, this mechanism may come with a mechanical timer, not a digital timer as pictured above. Intermatic has changed back to mechanical timer for these freeze protect mechanisms. Inyo Pools does not guarantee which timer type will be shipped. **

I have a model PF1102T Freeze Sentry.Whenever I set the Themostat to the desired setting, the system will come on whenever the Temp drops below that setting. However the system runs for a time and then turns itself off and after a few minutes the system turns itself back on. This cycle repeats itself as long as the temp is below the setting. Is this normal?

Hello CW, Yes, this is absolutely normal for the PF1102MT. The purpose of the Freeze Protection is to keep your pool equipment from freezing. Once the air temperature drops below the temperature you set on the thermostat dial, the system will kick on for a period of time then turn itself off, and will continue to do so until the air temperature rises above what you have set the temperature dial at. Click here to read about it in the manual.

I have the PF1102T and the mechanism that turns the timer no longer works. As long as I leave the timer where the pins are pulled to run the pump, everything works fine, but I have to manually turn it on and off. Do you sell just the part that will turn the timer?

Hi Bernie, we do offer this Intermatic Freeze Protect Timer Mechanism Only 240V or this Intermatic Timer Mechanism Only 120V for folks with the 120-volt mechanisms.
