(3 out of 5 stars) Improperly assembled, potentially dangerous

Pros: works fine when properly connected
Cons: Improperly assembled factory unit was potentially dangerous
This Intermatic T01604R contains two modules - T106M (SPDT) and T104M (DPST). It was shipped to me with in the factory Intermatic box with T106M installed on the RIGHT and T104M on the LEFT, which is incorrect. This is exactly backwards from the documentation in the 4 page instruction manual, and the diagram on the inside door. T106M should be on the LEFT, and T104M should be on the RIGHT. Long story short, I originally connected it assuming the correct configuration. I'm lucky it didn't short out me, the motor, or my breaker. In this incorrect configuration, actually no power is delivered to the motor on any of the 3 legs. After debugging, I found the two units were installed wrong. It was simple to disconnect, then remove, then reinstall the two modules in the correct configuration - T106M on the LEFT, and T104M on the RIGHT. After correctly installation, all went well and I expect to get 20 years out of this unit. I also intend to open a ticket with InyoPools as well as Intermatic for this significant error (probably Intermatic's error). Note in the attached pics there are no manufacturing labels on the T106M or the T104M, which is also disturbing since it would make identification trivial. Labels are cheap, and trivial to produce and install. Notice the "16G" in the cabinet on the right, and the "16G" on the back on T106M. Originally T106M was not installed in the right, but was installed in the left. This is simply poor quality control in either the factory install, or on a returned unit. As received, the unit looked 100% new, so it is likely a factory quality issue. As stated above, the unit works fine when properly connected.
