My neighbor just bought this pump, I would like to buy it and install it on my pool. My only question is it says on the pump must be installed with a multi-2 speed or variable speed controller. I just have mine wired to the timer can you please explain. Do I need to also buy this switch and if so does it come with instructions on how to wire it. Thank you so much. Chris Mackey

Hi Chris, You could get the Intermatic Dual Speed Pump Timer (T106R) that will automatically switch the speeds or get the Dual Speed Toggle Switch (79129900) to manually switch speeds. Installation instructions are included, however Zodiac recommends that the pump be installed be professionally installed to maintain the warranty.

This doesn't make come with a switch to chage speeds?

Hi, This pump is not equipped with a toggle switch that will allow you to manually regulate the speeds. You will need an external controller or purchase the Toggle Switch - 17590450 separately.
