is the union connection 2"X 2" on this pump

This pump does not have union connections as it has been replaced by the model 011641 but you can always use generic male threaded unions that you would plumb to the ports.

we can not use the replacement motor we need the closed fan cooled

Can you wire this pump to 115 v. And what the 3 phase mean?

Hi, Clack. This pump cannot be wired for 115 volts which is considered 1/Single-Phase. As for 3-Phase, it refers to the type of electrical power the motor runs on. The 115 volt version of this pump is model # WF-4.
