Will a gas heater operate at the low speed of a dual speed motor?
Reply
Probably not - Most gas heater will shut off at low GPM levels (20-40) to keep the heater cores from overheating - 20 for 200 BTUs, 40 for 400 BTUs. Depending on your pool system you might get these GPM levels at the low speed but generally these heaters must be run at the motor's high speed.

Ted, This heater can handle any where from 33-120 GPM. A 1.5 THP pump will be good, anything larger you'll nave to install a manual bypass.

Will this heater work with a 3 hp pool pump and a aqualink rs6 control system
Reply
Hi Jerry, A 3 HP pump can be used with this heater if the flow rate does not exceed 120 gpm, if it does you will need to install a manual bypass. It can also be wired to a Jandy Aqualink RS system.
