Hello Douglas- The Hayward Vinyl/Fiberglass Main Drain 2" (2-Pack) part number WG1049AVPAK2 has a distance of 8" on center from hole to hole on the cover.

Pros: great value
Cons: color selection
The product is well made and adapts to standard pumping fittings. For the money I think it is good value and well made. I am actually using mine for a pond and not a pool. Although I am still in construction I think these will be a great substitution for the pond supplier’s products at 3-4x the cost for the same functionality.
