My manifold spring from my Pentair Filter is rusting. I just had it installed a year ago and when I opened it up for cleaning the spring was all rusted. Is that normal? The short one that's up in the lid.

Hello Eva, sometimes the springs are known to start rusting after a year, it is basic corrosion that happens on salt/chlorine.

I have a Pentair CCP320 filter. The top manifold has a center compression spring (this item) with a small strainer that fits inside. Our strainer's metal mesh broke, so we zipped a piece of a sock on there to be our strainer while we looked for the part. Even with the nice expanded parts list on the CCP320, I can't see where the strainer piece is sold. On another site I found the manifold assembly with the spring and the strainer piece, but I'm hoping I can buy it alone. Do you have any advice?
