Wow! Why does this assembly cost so much more than the set of replacement grids? It's about an extra $400 just for the top and bottom rails and a couple of pvc fittings?

Hello, the total of all of the replacement parts plus the grids is almost equivalent to the cost of the set. We do not have control of the pricing the manufacturer establishes for parts. Our listed price is a marginal increase compared to the cost to us.

Lol, you send me a response a week later, saying you've answered my original question, but when I click on the link there's no answer, just product info about the same over-priced parts. I guess that's my answer, you can't explain why the plastic top and bottom rails for the D E filter grids, along with a couple of pvc assemblies costs about $400. If you can't answer customer inquiries, then simply don't respond.

The people answering these questions are technicians. When it comes to asking why something cost what it costs we are not going to have the answer for that as we do not make the price. If you were to ask a technical question about that Sta-Rite filter and its replacement parts that would be a different story.

Do you have a cap to cover the filter head if a grid is broken while your waiting for the grid to come in so you don’t lose flow?
Hi Heather, unfortunately, there are no caps fabricated for these filter parts to temporarily modify them.
