My original question was, "Is this grid assy. compatible with the older model Nautilus NS36?". I do not have the "FNS36". Is there a grid assy. specific to the NS36, no F in front of it?

Pool was not as clear as it was. Started getting DE back into the pool.

I backwashed and rinsed my DE filter. Killed the power to the pump. Opened the vent valve located on top of the vessel that houses the filter grid. Removed the horizontal clamp that seals the two parts of the vessel. Pulled the top off of the vessel. Removed as much of the left over DE as I could by hand. Removed the old filter grid. Cleaned the interior of the vessel. Opened the bottom drain on the vessel to drain all contaminants. Rinsed out vessel interior with hose. Installed a new O-ring on the vertical pipe that the filter grid assembly slides onto. Installed the new filter grid assembly. Installed a new gasket on the top of the vessel that was removed to access the filter grid assembly. I coated the new gasket with a Teflon based lubricant. Placed the top portion of the vessel in place. Installed and tightened the horizontal clamp. Made sure the air vent valve was in the open position. Placed the multiport valve in the filter position. Tightened the drain plug on the vessel. Started up the pump. Made sure all air was expelled from the vessel until it was completely filled with water. Closed the air vent valve. Recharged the filter grids with DE powder through the pool skimmer. Back up and running. Added chemicals to the pool and let the pump run over night. The next morning my pool was crystal clear, just like when it was new.
