I have a Nautilus Pac Fab NS48. I need a strainer air release. The one I found on line is for a Pentair..is this the same one?

Hi Diane, Yes Pac-Fab was acquired by Pentair so this would be the correct Air Relief Strainer for your Nautilus Pac Fab NS48 pool filter.

Will this strainer fit a Pentair CCP 420?
Thank you,

The Air Relief 3/4" Strainer (172855) may not work on the CCP 420 because it comes attached to the Air Bleed Tube Assy F/420 Sq Ft (170028).

I have a NSS48 from the mid 80's. It did not have this strainer on the manifold nor does it have a port. I bought a Pentair manifold with the 3/4 port on top. Should I block off this port or should I use this strainer?

Hi Mark, You will need to use the air relief strainer.

Hi--the diagram for my filter, the 192325 shows the strainer mounted directly on the top. The strainer that came with the assembly will not attach, there is a little nub coming out of the side of the base where the strainer attaches. I see other models that use a short tube, but the diagram for mine does not show a tube. The strainer that came with it is threaded--did they send the wrong strainer, or is it the correct one that I need a tube for???

Hi, Dan. The Air Relief Strainer - 172855 is the correct one. You'll have to get the strainer over the tab so that it stays on.
