How strong is this plastic wrench? I haven't removed the lid in years.

The wrench is a very sturdy plastic. If the lid hasn't been removed for several years, you may need to tap lightly on the wrench with a rubber mallet. I would also recommend replacing the o-ring.

shut the pump down...bled off the pressure...removed the valve..replaced with a new valve, which was ordered from INYO.....turned pump back on checked for any leaks....all good to go
Both products worked like a charm......saved $100's of dollars by just biteing the bullet any trying to do it myself....turned out to be no issues...just take your time
